Why cant my g/f be responsible?

shes 21 im 25 last year i was laid off for 9 months but picked up side work so i could collect and make my bills i didnt have a car then so she took me everywhere but now i have a car and she dosent have a job so ive been paying for gas and others for a while now and she hasnt tried to get a job she goes out with friends and will be out till 1 or 2 in the morning or sometimes as late as 5 but then she sleeps till 1 in the after noon doesnt do anything around the house just lets it sit around till her mom cleans up after her wheather its laundry or dishes i just want to know am i being to nice should i try to crack the whip per se but i feel like that will make her go farther away then she already is please help thanks
