Is Young Earth Creationism just a branch of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church?

YEC has been around in one shape or form for a long time. Before, everyone in the Western world believed in a Young Earth. Then came people who theorized the earth was very old. To counter them, a group of scientists called "scriptural geologists" defended a young earth based on geological evidence.
