In the new Black Ops zombie map "Five" are you able to pick your character?

when i started playing solo, it would always make me JFK. but now it changed me to Robert McNamara. i really wanted to play as President Nixon and i was just wondering if i could or if its just random. i know it changes you because it changed me from JFK to Robert McNamara.
