Help with waves in physics plz!?

what would a transverse wave through a spring look like? Is that even possible i think they did a typo on my hw and meant longtudinal wave. well anyways if it is possible would it look the same like a transverse wave on a rope like going up and down?? Also answer this question too plz: Explain how a ribbon attached to the spring would move like if the transverse wave was sent along the spring
